Yoga has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and often improve fertility outcomes. Ideally, 2-3 sessions per week for 6-12 weeks would be recommended and both in-person and virtual yoga has shown benefits.

Yoga helps manage stress by releasing muscular tensions held in the body and utilizing the breath to turn on the relaxation response and relax the mind which is important when it comes to fertility. Our instructor has worked both privately and in small groups facilitating women’s ability to carry healthy pregnancies to full term by helping them create hospitable and nurturing environments for the best possible outcomes of pregnancy.

Dr. Leigh Campbell

Leigh is a mother of three and yoga teacher who has extensive yoga training grounded in functional movement and the principles of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology. She has a particular interest in perinatal yoga, yoga for pelvic health, and postpartum health.

Leigh graduated from medical school in 2005 from The University of Mississippi Medical Center, and she is board certified in pediatrics and neonatology. Following the birth of her third child, she transitioned into public health and administrative medicine. Leigh is a lactation enthusiast and certified lactation consultant (CLC), currently studying breastfeeding medicine as she works towards completing her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) internship. Her professional work ahs always been centered on maternal and infant health.

Leigh offers yoga and body-centered perinatal services uniquely suited for the journey of preconception, pregnancy, birth and beyond. In her yoga classes, she champions a practice that incorporates core integration, mobility and dynamic movement. A familiarity of how to move sustainably on the mat transitions into daily life off the mat with smarter, safer and more conscious movement patterns.

Our six-week yoga for fertility series is used to feed your body with hope, love, and empowerment. Yoga for fertility focuses on a sequence of functional yoga postures and mindful breath to optimize the physiological state of the body. A movement practice that shifts your mindset so you may begin to take back your power in what you can control.
